We try to publish an article at least once a month but we were dismayed to discover that our last article was issued over eight weeks ago! Where has that time gone?
2025 has started with a bang for Compass QMS and these early months have been incredibly busy but we are the first to acknowledge that we can’t use this as an excuse and we have to find a way to manage competing demands on our time. We have objectives for how we run the company, regular communications are important to us and help to maintain our profile in this competitive industry, however, delivering bespoke quality services to clients is what we do best, so where is the balance?
This challenging concept applies across the world of quality management and we regularly witness our clients having the same issues; operational delivery is paramount to every organisation we do business with. Therefore, the requisite implementation, maintenance and improvement of quality management systems can often be seen as the appropriate choice to postpone or delay and yet, in the face of regulatory requirements, interruption in quality progress should not automatically be the preferred option.
So, how do we successfully navigate these busy times? We need to be disciplined, organised and coordinated. Schedule dedicated time into calendars, clearly define tasks and plan the necessary resources for satisfactory completion, and remember, quality management is not one individual’s responsibility, it requires input from numerous sources, so coordination and communication are vital to ensure the correct engagement of staff at the right time. Combine these skills with concise, focused processes, and you will be cruising towards an efficient and effective quality management system that supports your operational delivery.
Quality can bring order to chaotic circumstances, it offers benefits and assurances to business operations, and it represents value and excellence.
